Sulfur Cosmos (Yellow Cosmos)

Sulfur Cosmos

Cosmos sulphureus

Sulfur Cosmos (Yellow Cosmos)Also known as Yellow Cosmos. See our previous article here.

Our bed of Cosmos have bloomed for most of the season. They are called yellow but the shades include a fairly deep orange, as well.

Cosmos are an annual grown from seed in the spring. However, they often self-seed and return the next year (but the colors may not be a bright). The signature of the plant is the small “head and crown” in the center of the daisy-like bloom.

Here are a few more photos of our Cosmos:

If you want flowers but you don’t have a “green thumb” then this is the plant for you. It is super easy to start and grow. The Floridata website has more information about the plant.
