Our Yellow Chrysanthemum beds are overflowing with flowers. They appear to be “Ryan’s Yellow Daisy Mums.” Look at these beauties:
Mums are classified by the form (shape) of the flower. These are “Daisy-Like” with a clearly defined center. Our White Mums are “Decorative” and it is difficult to see the center “button.”

The “Healthy Eating” website offers a recipe for using mums for tea (unsubstantiated):
Chrysanthemum flowers have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Chrysanthemums may help increase blood flow and have anti-histamine, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, although human clinical trials have not been conducted…. Nevertheless, chrysanthemum tea is light and refreshing, often served in the balmy summer months.
